How to prepare for a tourism fair?

Fitur is coming to January 18-22, one of the most anticipated events for the tourism sector. If you are planning to go, we will be happy to see you there at STAND 8F36. Even if you're not going to attend, we also encourage you to read this article, as the lessons you'll learn will help you make the most of any type of fair you attend. Also read to the end because we have a surprise ready!

We thought this post was appropriate to give you a series of tips on how to prepare for a sales event such as Fitur. We usually spend excessive time organizing aspects related to the event itself, such as the dimensions of the stand, the colors, the flyers that we are going to distribute, etc. The reality is that the real impact practically depends on what we do weeks before: exchange of emails, scheduled appointments, contacts initiated.

” The Fitur mentality must start 1 month before the event”.

It took us a year to realize this. Therefore, with the lesson already learned, we wanted to give you two tips so that you can apply them now and save your Fitur or any other fair you have planned.

#1. Create your online meeting calendar

How to manage your appointments at fairs? With pen and paper? You may have digitized yourself a bit and are using an excel, but you know that this doesn't solve your problems either. You keep exchanging infinite emails to arrange a date, sometimes meetings overlap, the client doesn't remember where he had to attend, etc. For this reason, we recommend using a tool such as Calendly: allows you to manage your online calendar completely synchronized with your email so you can organize your appointments and optimize your time like never before. In this video, we'll guide you on how to set it up.

Once you have the link, you have to add it to your signature. Wait, don't you have any yet? Well, this is precisely the second piece of advice we had prepared to take the fair to the next level: announce your attendance a month before signing.

#2. Announce your attendance at the fair in the email signature

Present your signature in your email like this.

It seems very obvious, we know, but it's good to remember it. The main sales channel for almost all travel agents is the mail. If not, think about how many emails you exchange per day. 50? 80? between customers, wholesalers, receptives, suppliers, etc. That's why take advantage of this opportunity to promote yourself.

However... we know that the creation of the signature footer is not trivial. The email manager (Outlook, Gmail, etc.) generally gives very little room to do something flashy and sometimes it becomes a real nightmare to configure it. In fact, the signature we are using to announce our assistance to Fitur was very cool, but it took several hours to create it (setting up the template in Word, designing the images, doing tests in the mail, etc.).

For this reason, at MOGU, as we seek to simplify your day-to-day tasks, we are going to share with you the signature template, so that you save time and can give the most professional touch to your email. Fill out this form so we can create it for you with your logo and brand. All you have to do is copy what we sent you by email and paste it into the signature settings section. Here you can see the instructions.
